DQ200 DSG parts
The DQ200 is a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with a dry clutch, developed by the Volkswagen Group and produced in high volume since 2007. It is also known as the 0AM/0CW, and it is used across the Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT and Škoda ranges behind transversely mounted engines up to approximately 250 Nm.
This page covers the symptoms most commonly associated with DQ200 faults, the mechatronic issues behind them, the fault codes that accompany them, and how to identify the correct mechatronic assembly or part.
Why DQ200 parts are family-specific
The DQ200 uses a dry dual clutch — the clutch packs run without an oil bath around them. This makes the unit light and efficient, but it also means the clutches are more exposed to thermal load in stop-and-go traffic and repeated pull-aways.
Unlike wet-clutch DSG families, the DQ200 has two separate oil circuits: one for the gearbox side and one for the mechatronic hydraulic side. The mechatronic uses a mineral-based hydraulic fluid and its own small sump, with its own fill procedure.
The mechatronic assembly contains an accumulator that stores pressurised hydraulic fluid, ready to operate the shift and clutch actuators. This accumulator and its housing are central to the most widely reported DQ200 failure pattern.

DQ200 parts we supply
Parts are listed per family because the hydraulic design, the clutch type and the electronics differ between DSG families. A part that fits one family will not necessarily fit another.
Sensors
Speed and position sensors used by the control unit to monitor the transmission.
Solenoids and valves
The electrically operated valves that direct hydraulic pressure inside the mechatronic unit.
Valve body components
Internal hydraulic components for the mechatronic assembly where a part-level repair is appropriate.
Service components
Filters, seals and service items relevant to the family.
When a part and when a mechatronic assembly
The right choice depends on the fault. We confirm it from the codes, the symptoms and the part number before quoting.
- Part-level repair. When a single sensor, solenoid or service component is at fault, a part-level replacement can be appropriate.
- Assembly-level replacement. When the fault involves the hydraulic control or the electronics as a whole, a replacement mechatronic assembly is usually the practical option.
- Confirmation before ordering. Send the fault codes and the part number and we will confirm which approach applies to your vehicle.

DQ200 parts questions
Are DQ200 parts interchangeable with other DSG families?
Generally no. The hydraulic design, clutch type and electronics differ between families, so parts are listed per family and should be matched to the correct one.
How do I know whether I need a part or an assembly?
It depends on the fault. Send us the fault codes, the symptoms and the part number and we will confirm which approach applies to your DQ200.
Do you supply the mechatronic assembly as well as parts?
Yes. Replacement mechatronic assemblies for the DQ200 are listed on the DQ200 mechatronics page.
Have a DQ200 part number?
Send us the part number and the vehicle details and we will confirm the correct DQ200 part by email.
